West Coast River and Coastal Engineering

I've just finished 4 months fulfilling an Acting Group Manager role at West Coast Regional Council, on a part-time basis. It was a great opportunity to be part of the council's Senior Leadership Team and to work on a range of river and coastal engineering and natural hazards issues, in one of New Zealand's most challenging natural hazard settings. The commuting provided some spectacular flights across the Southern Alps (weather permitting) as in the photo above of Arthur's Pass.
