Natural Hazards Information Strategy for the West Coast Region

I have particular expertise in how local government manage natural hazards, and natural hazards information, and worked with West Coast Regional Council to prepare a natural hazards information strategy for the West Coast region. The Strategy and Implementation Plan I developed were endorsed by Council's Operations Committee on 15 April 2025. The Plan sets out a suggested 10-year workplan with measures and targets to deliver the vision and objectives of the Strategy. This is accompanied by a set of proposed actions I developed that support delivery of the programme and the acquisition, management and dissemination of natural hazards information for the region. This includes my recommendations on organisational and business processes and systems.
